The project consists of seven sub-projects as in Urban area of Kathmandu Valley with heterogeneous communities follows:
· Demonstration Package: This area is located in the immediate vicinity of Min Bhawa elevated tank. On southern and eastern side, the area is bounded by a Bagmati river and on northern side by a major road known (Araniko Highway). Towards western side the zone is bounded by Dhobi Khola. The area is divided into 5 service zones with separate bulk meter for each of the zones. The household cover 3681 nos. and 40758 population, DI pipe(500mm-150mm) supply and installation - 3582 meters, uPVC pipes - 34000m, Valve Box - 134 nos., WM Water Meter - 6, Fire Hydrant - 14, Air Valve Chamber - 17, Wash Outs - 4, House Connection - 3276, Water Meter Distribution - 3276, Commissioning wrt to HH - 3276, Disconnection of old house connection - 3276m, Pressure Testing in new pipe line - 37500m, Pressure Test in existing pipeline - 8500m and Water Loss Assessment - 610H/H, Road reinstate-36km,Paving of lanes-25 km.
· Immediate Improvement Works Package - I: The following size DI pipe has been installed in the Kathmandu Valley: Jhor - 150 f - 550m, Jhor 200f - 2800m, Balaju 150f - 4630m, Sundarijal - 500f - 210m and 300f - 1550m, Saibu - 350f - 550m and Chapagaun-200f - 1750m.
· Package II Works: The following size DI pipe has been installed in the Kathmandu Valley: Katunje - 350mm f - 650m and 150f - 2310m, Kuleshwor - 200f - 1170m, Balkumari - 200f - 1176m, Mahadev Khola - 200f - 3120m and Installation of Bulk meters.
· Central Laboratory Building: Civil Construction Works, Ground Floor and First Floor, Supply and Installation of Equipments. Total floor area- 670 M2
· New Tube Wells in 5 Locations: Mahankal Chaur Tube Well, Gongbu Tube Well, Mahadev Khola Tube Well, Bode Tube Well and Manmaiju Tube Well.
· Disinfection Equipments: Civil Construction works at 5 locations: Sundarijal, Balaju, Tahakhel, Bansbari, Bhaktapur and Sundarighat and Supply and Installation of disinfection equipments.
· Waste Water Treatment Plant: Civil Construction Works at Balkumari /Kodku Site, Lalitpur and Civil Works at Sallaghari Site, Bhaktapur.

--> · Review of Detailed Engineering Report, Preparation of QA and QC Plan, Safety Manuals, contract administration guideline, Survey, Topographical survey, Total Station Survey, alignment survey, traverses survey benefit monitoring evaluation, community mobilization, Preparation of water Safety plan,Check the line level, layout of the construction to ensure conformity with the designs and the provisions of the contract, Proposed and present for approval for any change in the plans that may be deemed necessary indicating any effect the change may have on contract and prepare all change/ variation orders, Supervise Construction of project components, Monitor construction and quality control methods and certify that quality of works conforms to the specifications and drawings, assist in preparing planned maintenance procedure. check installation and commissioning, prepare measurement for works completed and in progress and verify bills for payment to the contractors/ suppliers by PID, KUKL, supervise and oversee the implementation of works by the contractors to ensure that they are in strict conformity with the approved Resettlement Action Plan (RAP) and the Environmental Management Plan (EMP) for the Project, shall ensure that all variation and time extensions are brought to the notice of the Employer before implementation and prior approval are obtained from the Employer, Coordinate right sequence between equipment , delivery and installation and works packages implementations and coordination mechanisms among public entities involved, including the municipal public works department, the local policy, the ward offices, the roads department, the power company, the telephone company, sewerage division and fire department. Construction Site Management and post construction monitoring .Submission of reports at supervision phases.( Monthly and Quarterly progress report ,interim report, Annual progress report, Project completion Report), Assist PID in matters related to project construction management and in post construction phase (DLP)-->
