Project Description

Sanitation & Sewerage Sub Project:

Service Provide: Feasibility Study, Detailed Engineering Survey, Master Planning, Initial Environmental Examination (IEE), Sludge Quality Test, Detailed Working Drawing, Cost Estimate, Bill of Quantity (BoQ), Specification, Tender Document, Bid Evaluation, Training on Operation & Maintenance, Full Time Construction Supervision, Contract Management etc.The sub- project consists of rehabilitation/ cleaning/ extension and new construction 0f 7.72 km with municipality. It comprises of four(4) sub – system namely Bansgari sub- system (1348m) – ward no. 4,6 & 7; Pipalbot sub – system (4383.60m) – ward no. 2,3,4 & 5; Thakurigaon sub- system (121.25) – 2,3 & 4 and Shrikhandpur sub – system (770.55m) – 8 & 9. The Bansgahri sub- system was not constructed due to lack of land for sludge treatment plant. The design and construction works comprising laying of RCC hume pipes, RCC rectangular channels, manholes, sewerage inlet, rain inlet and overflow structure, rain inlet GI bucket, rehabilitation, maintenance and cleaning works. The construction work started on 05 February 2008 and completed on September 30, 2010. WasteWater (Reed Bed Treatment Plant)Sub – project:

Service Provided: Detailed Engineering Survey, Preliminary Design, Detailed Engineering Design & Report , Initial Environmental Examination (IEE), Sludge Quality Test, Detailed Working Drawings, Cost Estimates, Bill of Quantity (BoQ), Specification, Tender Document, Bid Evaluation, Training on Operation & Maintenance, Full Time Construction Supervision, Contract Management etc.There are three WasteWater (Reed Bed Treatment Plant)Sub – project namely for Bansghari sub- system in land development area, Pipalbot sub- system at Pipalbot & Thakurigaon. The Bansghari sub- system was not constructed du tot lack of land. The Components consist of Equalization Tank (2nos.), Bar Screen (2nos.), Oil & Grease Chamber (2nos.), Grit Chamber (2nos.), RCC Setting Tank (2nos.), Sludge Drying Bed (2nos.), Horizontal Flow Bed (8nos.) and Site Development Works. The construction work started on 11 August 2008 and completed on 15 February 2011.Road Upgrading Sub – project:

Service Provided: Detailed Engineering Survey, Preliminary Design, Detailed Engineering Design & Report, Priority Study, Detailed Working Drawings, Cost Estimates, Bill of Quantity (BoQ), Specification, Tender Document, Bid Evaluation, Full Time Construction Supervision, Contract Management etc. The designs of the roads are done blacktop level. The Road Upgrading Sub- project consists of upgrading of three roads namely: Pipalbot – Chaukot Road (1.56 km), Pipalboat – Bhattendanda Road (1.52 km), Araniko Highway (Himalayan Horizon) – Kuttal Road (1.92 km). The upgrading of roads involves road widening, surface leveling (cutting. Filling), cross – drainage, roadside drainage, embankment improvement, track opening retaining structures etc.  Kavre Valley Integrated Water Supply Project (KVIWSP)

Service Provided: Detailed Engineering Survey, Household Survey, Feasibility Study, Detailed Engineering Design & Report, Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA),Social Assessment & Resettlement Plan (SARP), Detailed Working Drawing, Cost Estimate, Bill of Quantity (BoQ), Specification, Tender Document, Water Source Measurement, Water Quality Test etc.The project is conceived as Regional/ Integrated Water Supply System for three municipalities namely; Dhulikhel, Banepa and Panauti Municipalities. Water Supply distribution system forDhulikhel municipality covers Ward no.1,6,7,8 and 9 of Dhulikhel Municipality. The total household of Dhulikhel is 2,255 and the total population is 13,314 in 2010. Inserting multi – reservoirs (5 – service reservoirs) namely at Bansghari (255cum), KUPS Danda (190cum), Thakurigaon (40cum) and Devisthan (4cum), the design of distribution system for ward no. 1,6,7,8 and 9 of Dhulikhel Municiaplaity has been done. Besides a sump – well of 4cum capacity is placed at the Pipalbot from where water would be pumped to Devisthan reservoir.The pipe line for regional (from source to Devisthan, filtration plant) is 16.5 Km (transmission main), for distribution system of Dhulikhel is 47 Km, for distribution system of Banepa 37.32 Km except existing, for distribution system of Panauti 97.27 Km, and combined transmission main for Dhulikhel and Banepa 2.85 Km.

Land Development Sub - project

Service Provided: Detailed Engineering Survey, Preliminary (Block) Design, Detailed Engineering Design including Road Network, Sewerage Network, Water Supply, Electricity etc. & Report, Land Readjustment Policy, Bye – laws, Land contribution ration & land contribution table, Detailed Working Drawing, Cost Estimates, Bill of Quantity (BoQ), Specification, Tender Document, etc. The land along Araniko highway west of Araniko Highway – Sindhuli Bardibas highway junction and south of Araniko Highway is to be developed with necessary infrastructures like road, drainage & sewerage, water supply, electrification, etc. The approximately area of land is 273 ropani and is situated in ward no. 7 of Dhulikhel Municipality.

Supplementary Urban Facilities: The Supplementary Urban Facilities consists of detailed design and construction supervision of (i) small urban community facilities and (ii) Revenue Generating Urban Facilities.

Small Urban Community Facilities:

Public Toilet: Service Provided: Detailed Engineering Survey, Preliminary Design, Detailed Engineering Design & report, Detailed Working Drawing, Cost Estimates, Bill of Quantity (BoQ) Specification, Tender Document, Bid Evaluation, Full Time Construction Supervision, Contract Management, etc. The Public Toilet is located at Adda Bazaar, Dhulikhel. It consists of ladies and gents toilets, bathrooms, ticket collection space. It is one storeyed RCC framed structure with RCC roofing with all modern amenities vis- a- vis electrification, sanitation, automatic flushing urinals etc. Six nos. of Public Toilets, namely at Gokhureshwor Temple, Adda Bazaar, Old Rastrya Banijaya Bank Chowk, Hospital Chowk, 28 Km Chowk 9KU Chowk) & near Puyamata Bridge designed up to Draft Detailed level & two up to Final Detailed.

Urban Centre:Service Provided: Detailed Engineering Survey, Preliminary Design, Detailed Engineering Design & Report, Detailed Working Drawing, Cost Estimated, Bill of Quantity (BoQ), Specification, Tender Document, etc.It is two storeyed RCC framed structure building with 2 nos. of rooms at ground floor and 1 hall at 1st floor on the newly constructed Public Toiled at Adda Bazzar.

Public Recreation Park: Service Provided: Detailed Engineering Survey, Preliminary Design, Drawings, Cost Estimate etc.The project is to develop a park at Devisthan temple. It consists of landscaping, toilets for lades and gents, retaining structures etc.

Revenue Generating Urban Facilities: Bus Park Service Provided: Detailed Engineering Survey, socio- economic survey, traffic survey, conceptual design, Drawings, Cost Estimate etc.The Bus Park was spread in 20 Ropanies of land and consisting of short – term and long term parking area, shops, ladies and gents toilets, washing area etc.

Football Playground Service Provided: Detailed Engineering Survey, master plan, design, Drawings, Cost Estimate etc.The Football Playground consists of spectators sitting area, change room for players, shopping complex in the front, ladies and gents toilets etc.

Vegetable Market Service Provided: Socio- economic survey and data analysis, feasibility study, conceptual design, drawing etc.The vegetable market was spread in 4 ropanies of land. It was to find the financial viability in a suitable location within Dhulikhel Bazaar.

City Hall Service Provided: Detailed Engineering Survey, conceptual design, Drawings, Cost Estimate etc.The City Hall is a 4 – storeyed RC framed building in ward no 4 of Dhulikhel. It covers about 8000 sqft, built – up area.
