The project consists of seven sub-projects as in Urban area of Kathmandu Valley with heterogeneous communities follows:
• Waste Water Treatment Plant: Civil Construction Works related to solid waste management at Balkumari /Kodku Site, Lalitpur and Civil Works at Sallaghari Site, Bhaktapur. Demonstration Water Supply Package: This area is located in the immediate vicinity of Min Bhawa elevated tank. On southern and eastern side, the area is bounded by a Bagmati river and on northern side by a major road known (Araniko Highway). Towards western side the zone is bounded by Dhobi Khola. The area is divided into 5 service zones with separate bulk meter for each of the zones. The household cover 3681 nos. and 40758 population, DI pipe(500mm-150mm) supply and installation - 3582 meters, uPVC pipes - 34000m, Valve Box - 134 nos., WM Water Meter - 6, Fire Hydrant - 14, Air Valve Chamber - 17, Wash Outs - 4, House Connection - 3276, Water Meter Distribution - 3276, Commissioning wrt to HH - 3276, Disconnection of old house connection - 3276m, Pressure Testing in new pipe line - 37500m, Pressure Test in existing pipeline - 8500m and Water Loss Assessment - 610H/H, Immediate Improvement Works Package - I: The following size DI pipe has been installed in the Kathmandu Valley:Jhor - 150 - 550m, Jhor 200 - 2800m, Balaju 150 - 4630m, Sundarijal - 500 - 210m and 300 - 1550m, Saibu - 350 - 550m and Chapagaun-200 - 1750m.
• Package II Water Supply: The following size DI pipe has been installed in the Kathmandu Valley: Katunje - 350mm - 650m and 150 - 2310m, Kuleshwor - 200 - 1170m, Balkumari - 200 - 1176m, MahadevKhola - 200 - 3120m and Installation of Bulk meters.
• New Tube Wells in 5 Locations: MahankalChaur Tube Well, Gongbu Tube Well, MahadevKhola Tube Well, Bode Tube Well and Manmaiju Tube Well.
• Disinfection Equipment’s: Civil Construction works at 5 locations: Sundarijal, Balaju, Tahakhel, Bansbari, Bhaktapur and Sundarighat and Supply and Installation of disinfection equipments.
• Urban Road Reinstate-36km, Paving of lanes-25 km.
• Central Laboratory Building: Civil Construction Works, Ground Floor and First Floor, Supply and Installation of Equipments. Total floor area- 670 M2
