The Project is under Ministry of Health. The Proposed medical college and teaching hospital is located in Geta Municipality, Kailali district, Seti zone of Nepal. The total site area is 51.82 Hectares (1013-14-0-2 Ropanis). A master plan for the proposed medical college has been prepared considering all the amenities and infrastructures required its smooth and efficient operation. Detail A/E design of 5 storied- 600 bedded hospital, college building, administration building, VIP quarters, professor quarters, assistant professor quarters, associate professor quarters, Junior doctors, staff nurses and guest house has been carried out. The total floor area of all the proposed building is around 90,050 sq.m. The proposed building consists of all modern facilities and amenties. The buildings envolp& its interior spaces are designed to responed the extreme climatic condition of Geta, Kailali, which lies in tarai belt of Nepal. The design also includes parking facilities along with landscape designs. The structural, electrical, HVAC, fire fighting and sanitary systemof the proposed buildings have been designed as per Nepal National Building Code and other relevant IS codes.
A total 10 km asphalt road of carrying widths and length has been designed as an entity of te master plan. The various widths of proposed roads are 21m, 10m, 8m, 7m, 6m and 4m. The road is dsigned following GoN, Department of Roads’ norms and standards. It has been designed with proper gradient, curbs, turing radius, super elevations along with provision for storm water drain such as street inlets, manholes and open drain channel.
